Hello fellow grail knights it is I the father of Grail Legend Joseph of Arimathea. According to Robert de Borron I am the man that is linked to Jesus Christ our lord and savior. I was a Roman soldier during the time of Christ's great reign on earth and it was I who took him from the rood, washed his wounds, and caught his blood in the vessel that was used at the Last Supper. I am the father of Grail Legend because it was I who was entrusted the vessel by Christ and it sustained me in prison without food or drink. Through the cup I could talk to the Holy spirit and I was instructed that my family would become guardian's of the Grail and it was with my sister Enygeus and Hebron the Rich Fisher that the Grail family lineage began. With twelve sons that become my disciples the move of the Grail from the Holy Land to Britain could take place.

Robert de Borron's text legitimizes the Grail being present in the Holy Land and it also makes allusions at My family being the first of the Knight's Templar or Christian guardians of the grail.

As a disciple of Christ, the first holder of the Secrets of the Grail, and as a religious leader who carries on the Lords teachings it is unsettling to learn from the tale of "Perlesvaus" that Pagans literally try to perform a Eucharist. Sir Gawain as a Christian Knight I am dissapointed in you for allowing the misguided and ill-informed King, who gaveth you the sword of John the Baptist, to perform such atrocities in your precense. This pagan king should never have been allowed to cook down his son and feed it to his people and I disagree with the monk who says "Already had he leant his heart upon Jesus Christ, and would fain make sacrifice of his flesh and blood to Our Lord, and for this did he make all those of his land eat thereof, and would fain that their thoughts should be even such as his own" (pg 203). Sacrifices were the way of the Judaic law that was made obsolete with the coming of Chrsit. Christ saved and redeemed us all and would never ask for a literal sacrifice in his name. This Pagan king wants to force baptism and Christianity onto his people and by chopping off the heads of his own people who will not convert the King as well as Gawain are no better than the Serrazins.
